What's Included
- Antonio Zoli & Co. Buffalo Hunter .58 caliber percussion rifle (Navy Arms) — ramrod not included
Made in Italy by Antonio Zoli for Navy Arms, this single-shot muzzleloader carries clear rollmarks: "ANTONIO ZOLI & CO MADE IN ITALY," "NAVY ARMS CO.," and "58 Caliber BLACK POWDER ONLY." The lockplate also bears the spread-wing eagle over NAVY ARMS CO., tying it directly to the Navy Arms Buffalo Hunter line.
The rifle uses a percussion sidelock with an external hammer and a 26 inch round steel barrel finished in blue. An under-rib is integral to the barrel, and sighting is via a drift-in front blade and a sliding-leaf rear notch for straightforward, durable alignment.
The half-stock hardwood is checkered and houses a hinged patchbox. Brass furniture includes the buttplate, trigger guard, nose cap, and ramrod pipes, giving the rifle the classic hunting rifle profile associated with the Buffalo Hunter configuration.
The receiver/lock is case-colored, complementing the blued barrel and brass trim. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and capacity is 1 round, consistent with its single-shot, muzzleloading design.
This Buffalo Hunter stands out as one of the few factory/import .58-caliber hunting rifles of the modern black-powder era, offering a large-bore configuration under the Navy Arms banner with Italian Zoli manufacture.
