What's Included
- Colt Blackpowder Series factory box
- Colt Black Powder Instruction Manual
This .44 caliber, single-action only percussion revolver uses a six-shot fluted cylinder, an uncommon feature compared to the typical scene-rolled cylinders found on many examples. The cylinder employs rectangular stop notches with approach grooves for secure lockup.
The 7.5 in barrel has an octagon-to-round profile and includes the correct loading lever. The barrel top is roll-marked "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY," aligning with historical markings associated with original production.
Finishes and furniture are faithful to the pattern: a color casehardened frame, high-polish blue barrel and cylinder, and a bright-finish grip frame/backstrap paired with a one-piece walnut grip. The trigger guard is rounded.
Sighting equipment is period correct, with a dovetailed front blade and a rear notch in the hammer nose, forming fixed sights consistent with the Dragoon design. Matching serial numbers are observed on multiple parts, supporting the revolver's cohesive factory build.
