Thompson/Center Contender G1 .223 Rem Single-Shot, 10 inch Barrel, Bushnell Centurion Scope, Multi-Caliber Barrel Set
This first-generation Thompson/Center Contender G1 features the classic cat-and-globe medallion and Rochester, N.H. rollmark on a silver-finished steel frame. It is configured with an approximately 10 inch .223 Rem barrel and includes a scope base with a Bushnell Centurion pistol scope installed. Pachmayr Presentation rubber grip and matching rubber forend are fitted. This set is further notable for its included extra barrels in 7 mm T/CU, .357 Herrett, and .30-30 Winchester.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: There are light scratches and small blemishes on exterior surfaces. Small deposits of pitting are present to the bluing.

The G1 Contender frame shown here is the first-generation pattern with the cat-and-globe medallion and Rochester, N.H. manufacturer rollmark. It is a single-action, break-open, single-shot design with a 1-round capacity and an exposed hammer. The frame and receiver are steel with a silver finish, while the barrels are steel with a blued finish.
An approximately 10 inch .223 Rem barrel is installed. This blued steel barrel has a round profile with a serrated rib and a ramp front sight. The rear sight is not present.
A Bushnell Centurion pistol scope is mounted using an installed base and rings. The setup is clean and secure, ready for use as configured.
Ergonomics are addressed with a Pachmayr Presentation rubber pistol grip and a matching Pachmayr rubber forend. These components are installed and complement the Contender’s compact barrel setup.
This multi-caliber package includes additional Thompson/Center barrels in 7 mm T/CU, .357 Herrett, and .30-30 Winchester, providing notable flexibility in chamberings with the included components.
