This Marlin Model 30AS is a .30-30 lever-action rifle built on the solid-top, side-eject 336-pattern receiver and produced in the 1980s in North Haven, Connecticut. It features a 20" barrel with Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling, a blued steel finish, and a stained hardwood stock and fore-end. A variable-power riflescope is installed on two-piece Weaver-style bases and rings, adding ready-to-use capability alongside the factory iron sights.

    What's Included

    • Optic: Variable-power riflescope (installed)
    • Scope Mounts: Two-piece Weaver-style bases and rings (installed)

The receiver is a solid-top, side-eject 336-pattern design in blued steel with a right-side loading gate. It is drilled and tapped for optics and carries a full-length tubular magazine with 6+1 capacity. A cross-bolt safety is fitted.

The 20" .30-30 barrel uses Micro-Groove rifling and is paired with iron sights: a ramped front blade with bead and an open rear barrel sight. No front-sight hood is present.

Furniture includes a stained hardwood, smooth, uncheckered pistol-grip buttstock with a black polymer buttplate and sling swivel studs, plus a smooth hardwood fore-end. Length of pull measures 13.5".

A variable-power riflescope is already mounted using two-piece Weaver-style bases and rings. This setup complements the rifle's drilled-and-tapped receiver while leaving the iron sights in place.

Made in the USA during the 1980s, this example was produced in North Haven, Connecticut, reflecting the period features and configuration associated with the 30AS line.
