The Sportsman Super Magnum configuration provides a 3-1/2 inch chamber and compatibility with 2-3/4, 3, and 3-1/2 inch loads. Per the manual, it uses a barrel seal activator for 2-3/4 inch shells. This gas-operated action is built on a steel receiver with right-side ejection and a polymer trigger guard.
The 26 inch steel barrel features a vent rib and is threaded for choke tubes. A Modified choke is installed. Sight alignment is straightforward with an orange fiber-optic front bead and a green mid-rib bead.
Controls and handling are set up for practical use, including a cylindrical bolt handle and a cross-bolt safety. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches, and a rubber recoil pad caps the stock for a secure shoulder mount.
