The M9 is a full-size, DA/SA, hammer-fired pistol with a short-recoil, falling locking block system and Beretta’s signature open-top slide. It uses an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, a curved trigger, and an external spurred hammer for confident operation.
Built on an anodized aluminum-alloy frame, this example is the non-railed configuration with a lanyard loop. The 4.9 in steel barrel is chrome-lined, and the pistol wears a Bruniton finish. Sights are fixed, with an integral front blade and a dovetailed rear.
Markings follow the U.S. contract style, including "U.S. 9mm M9-BERETTA U.S.A.-65490" on the left side and "ASSY 9346487-65490" on the right side, along with the Beretta "PB" oval cartouche. The serial prefix style is "M9-," aligning with the pattern associated with M9-marked pistols.
It includes one 10-round steel magazine with witness holes numbered 4, 7, and 10. Capacity is 10+1. The grip is a tan polymer wrap-around one-piece unit with Beretta trident medallions.
