The Nylon 66's Zytel-101 nylon one-piece structural stock/receiver shell is finished in Mohawk Brown with molded checkering and a white diamond inlay on the fore-end. Fixed sling swivel loops on two-screw strap bases are installed, and the overall metal finish is blued/black, including the stamped steel receiver cover.
Feeding is via a tube magazine housed in the buttstock, loaded through the buttplate. Factory capacity is 14+1 in .22 LR. The barrel is marked "22 LONG RIFLE ONLY" to clearly identify the chambering.
