The GL-15 runs a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system and is built on an aluminum-alloy receiver set finished in blue. The lower receiver is marked "GL-15" and "MULTI CAL," with the GLFA logo laser-etched on the right magwell.
Its 16 inch barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-style flash hider. A free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and a flat-top upper provide a continuous Picatinny rail across the receiver and handguard for mounting accessories.
The carbine receiver extension supports a 6-position M4-style collapsible stock. Controls include a right-side magazine release and a manual safety selector, with a forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, and brass deflector onboard.
The .223 Wylde chamber accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56x45 NATO, offering broad ammunition compatibility. Capacity is 30+1, and the rifle includes a polymer 30-round magazine.
