The 4.0C compact configuration pairs a steel, hammer-forged, non-threaded barrel with a flush crown for durability and consistent muzzle protection. Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 15+1 capacity, it delivers a practical balance of size and capacity.
The slide is Melonite/nitride finished and includes aggressive front and rear serrations, an external extractor, and an optics cut with a cover plate that features the crossed-cannons logo. Springfield’s VIS direct-mount optics interface is integrated beneath the cover plate for straightforward compatibility with popular footprints.
Controls are set up for versatility: ambidextrous/bilateral slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release accommodate a wide range of users. The flat-faced trigger with a safety tab and a trigger safety system provide a consistent striker-fired feel.
The polymer frame uses a wraparound texture with memory/index pads for repeatable hand placement. A 4-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover supports common pistol-mounted lights or accessories. Sight picture is fast and uncluttered with a yellow-ring front dot and a plain black rear sight.
The Echelon’s stainless-steel COG serialized chassis is visible through a window in the frame, with matching serial markings on the barrel hood and slide. This example was manufactured in Croatia as part of the Echelon series and includes eight factory magazines for immediate readiness.
