The RS configuration pairs a 20 inch alloy-steel sporter barrel with factory iron sights, giving this rifle a versatile sighting setup out of the box. The blued finish and walnut stock deliver the traditional Ruger 77/22 look and feel.
The receiver features integral scope-mount bases that accept Ruger rings, and this rifle comes fitted with a Simmons 1006 4x32mm fixed duplex scope in Ruger-pattern rings. The factory sights include a ramped front with protective ears and a dovetailed blade, plus an adjustable folding-leaf rear.
The bolt-action system incorporates a three-position safety and feeds from Ruger's rotary magazine design. Capacity is 10+1. BX-1 10/22 magazines will function in the 77/22 but will not sit flush.
The walnut stock has a checkered pistol grip, a Ruger medallion grip cap, a ribbed buttplate, and sling swivel studs for easy sling attachment. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
