    What’s Included

    • Smith & Wesson Model 586 revolver, 6-inch barrel
    • Installed Pachmayr rubber wrap-around grips with gold medallions

The Model 586 is a double-action/single-action .357 Magnum built on a carbon-steel frame with a hammer-mounted firing pin and exposed hammer. This example has a 6-shot fluted cylinder and a 6-inch heavy barrel with a full-length underlug and serrated rib, giving it a classic, well-balanced configuration.

Sighting equipment includes a pinned red-insert ramp front sight and a micrometer-adjustable rear sight with windage and elevation screws. This setup provides a precise, fully adjustable iron-sight picture suited to the 6-inch barrel length.

The revolver is marked "MOD 586" with no dash, aligning with its 1981 manufacture date. The AAA-prefix serial is observed. The yoke cut does not display the "M" recall stamp, and the frame has no internal lock keyhole, consistent with its era of production in the United States.

Aftermarket Pachmayr rubber wrap-around grips with gold medallions are installed, providing a secure, hand-filling hold on this full-size revolver.
