Alpine Industries M1 Carbine .30 Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle, 18 in Barrel, 1960s U.S. Production
This Alpine Industries M1 Carbine is a U.S.-made, 1960s commercial reproduction of the classic .30 Carbine platform. It features an 18-inch barrel, a hardwood low-wood stock with sling/oiler cut, and a ventilated steel upper handguard. The receiver ring is marked "U.S. CARBINE CAL. .30 M1," and the right rear of the receiver carries a letter-prefixed serial number.
It ships with both 30- and 15-round steel magazines and an installed web sling.
Built with a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system and a rotating bolt, this full-size carbine retains the familiar right-side charging handle and a round bolt. Sighted with a protected, cross-pinned front post and an adjustable rear aperture with a windage knob, it delivers a classic sight picture with user-adjustable windage.
The stock is hardwood with low-wood configuration and a steel buttplate, paired with a ventilated steel upper handguard. A narrow barrel band without a bayonet lug reflects the configuration noted for this example. Capacity is stated at 30+1 when using a 30-round magazine.
Produced by Alpine Industries in Southern California during the 1960s, this reproduction maintains hallmark M1 Carbine features while offering period U.S. commercial manufacture. Its configuration and included magazines make it a practical and collectible representative of Alpine’s production era.
