This first-generation SIG Sauer MPX .177 caliber CO2 air rifle mirrors the ergonomics and controls of the centerfire MPX while delivering semi-automatic pellet operation. It features an 8-inch rifled steel barrel with an outer shroud, a continuous Picatinny top rail spanning the receiver and onto a factory-installed rail section on the handguard, and flip-up adjustable sights. This example is the pre-Gen II configuration.

The MPX Air Rifle Gen 1 is powered by a single 88 g or 90 g CO2 cylinder and uses SIG's RPM belt-fed magazine system to deliver fast, semi-automatic .177 pellet fire. The manufacturer lists velocity up to 450 fps, and the factory carton carries an up to 600 fps marking.
A continuous Picatinny top rail across the receiver and handguard provides mounting as needed, and the rifle ships with flip-up, adjustable front and rear sights. The vented polymer handguard accepts bolt-on accessory-rail sections, and an outer muzzle sleeve/shroud extends to the front of the handguard.
Controls and ergonomics are modeled after the centerfire SIG MPX, providing a familiar layout. A manual safety and an approximate 7.0 lb trigger pull are standard. The black polymer stock and overall black finish complete a cohesive, modern setup.
