The 16 in chrome-moly steel barrel is cold hammer-forged, heavy contour, and fluted, with a 1/2-28 thread pattern and 1:10 RH twist. This combination delivers durability and easy accessory compatibility at the muzzle while keeping weight balanced forward.
Ruger’s blowback action is tuned with a tungsten dead-blow system for controlled cycling. A reversible charging handle and reversible magazine release allow the shooter to configure the carbine to preference. A cross-bolt safety provides a simple, familiar safety mechanism.
The carbine breaks down quickly with a tool-less takedown system using a knurled locking ring, making storage and transport straightforward. The aluminum-alloy receiver wears a Type III hard-coat anodized finish, and the receiver is marked “RUGER • NEWPORT, NH • USA.”
The black, glass-filled nylon stock features molded texturing, a soft rubber buttpad, sling swivel studs, and an adjustable length of pull via included spacers. A polymer fore-end provides a solid grasp. The rifle is equipped with a protected blade front sight and an adjustable ghost-ring rear sight. Rails and a scope-mounting provision are present for optics or accessories.
This PC Carbine accepts interchangeable magazine wells to run Ruger SR-Series/Security-9 or Glock-pattern magazines. It ships with two magazines (one extended 33-round and one 15-round) and includes the Ruger SR-Series/Security-9 magazine-well insert, offering flexible setup out of the box.
