This Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS is a compact, double-stack 9mm with key custom upgrades and a 4.25 inch match barrel. It features complete EGW titanium internals, a Red Dirt Competition Trigger, an Atlas 8-lb toolless guide rod, and a DLC-coated bull barrel. The AOS modular optics system is installed with an integral rear sight, and an Atlas RMR plate is included. Capacity is 17+1, with forged steel construction and Black Cerakote on both slide and frame.

The heart of this Prodigy is its forged stainless steel, bushingless bull, match-grade barrel with a DLC finish. Paired with a 4.25 inch slide and forward/rear serrations, it offers a compact profile with confident manipulation and durable Black Cerakote protection on both slide and frame.
Performance-focused custom work includes complete EGW titanium internals, a Red Dirt Competition Trigger with a flat-faced, lightened, chevron-milled shoe, and an Atlas 8-lb toolless guide rod. These installed components provide a cohesive, competition-oriented setup using premium parts.
The Agency Optic System (AOS) is installed and includes an integral rear sight on the plate. An Atlas RMR optic plate is provided, and the AOS plates are machined from 17-4 stainless steel. The front sight is a green fiber-optic, pairing cleanly with the black rear notch in the AOS plate.
The double-stack polymer grip module features wraparound texture and a flared magwell, feeding a 17+1 capacity magazine with numbered witness holes at 5/10/17. An accessory rail on the dustcover accepts Picatinny-pattern lights or accessories. Safety features include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory pad. Made in the USA, this Prodigy series pistol traces its line to the 2022 introduction of Springfield’s DS platform.
