The barrel is marked "J.C. HIGGINS MODEL 20 – 12 GA. SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO. 583.2005," while the receiver is plain. The shotgun was manufactured by High Standard, commonly cross-referenced to the High Standard Model 200.
An oval HPS stamp is present.
The 25.5 inch barrel is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells and is fitted with a Poly-Choke Deluxe adjustable choke and vented compensator. The choke shows indexed settings from SLUG through X-FULL.
The pump-action receiver uses right-side ejection and feeds from an under-barrel tubular magazine with a 4-round capacity.
The walnut stock is uncheckered with a hard rubber buttplate, and the grooved wood forend provides a classic grip profile. Length of pull measures 14.25 inches.
