This Aptus uses a tool-less quick-change/takedown barrel interface that supports multi-caliber use in 5.56 NATO and .300 AAC Blackout. It comes configured with a 16-inch barrel and multi-prong flash hider, and includes a spare 16-inch .300 BLK barrel. The 1:8 twist rate supports a wide range of common bullet weights for both calibers.
Its internal recoil (bufferless) system allows a true folding stock while maintaining reliable semi-automatic, direct-impingement operation. The stock is folding and telescoping with adjustable length-of-pull and an integrated QD sling socket, pairing compact storage with practical adjustability.
Controls are set up for efficient handling, featuring a left-side, non-reciprocating charging handle and an extended left-side bolt-release lever (Phase 5–style). A flat-faced trigger promotes a straight, consistent press, and the Magpul MOE+ pistol grip provides a secure, comfortable hold.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail span the receiver and handguard for mounting versatility. The aluminum-alloy receiver wears a NiB Battleworn finish and is marked with model APTUS and Dallas, GA. Flip-up front and rear sights are installed, and the rifle uses standard 30-round magazines for a 30+1 capacity.
