Designed as a micro-size 9mm, the BU9 Nano uses a striker-fired, locked-breech action and a serialized steel fire-control unit that can be removed to enable grip-frame swaps. The frame is polymer in black, and the dustcover is smooth without an accessory rail.
Controls are streamlined for carry, with a left-side magazine release and no external slide stop or manual safety. The takedown system is tool-assisted and does not require a dry-fire step.
The slide is matte black with rear serrations, and the pistol is fitted with low-profile 3-dot sights. Both the front and rear sights are dovetailed and retained by set screws for secure positioning.
