The USP9 Compact V1 uses a hammer-fired DA/SA system with a left-side safety/decocker, giving the user versatile carry and manipulation options. The ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release and bobbed spur hammer align with the USP Compact’s practical controls. A captive flat recoil spring with a polymer buffer is used for durability and controlled cycling.
The 3.6 in barrel is cold hammer-forged with polygonal rifling, designed for long service life. The slide wears HK’s black HE finish. Sights are the 3-dot pattern with a Tru-Dot front night sight for low-light visibility. The extractor doubles as a loaded-chamber indicator for quick status checks.
The polymer frame keeps weight down and includes HK’s proprietary Universal mounting grooves on the dustcover (non-Picatinny). Magazine capacity is 13+1 in 9mm Luger, supplied here with two steel magazines tailored for the USP Compact 9mm.
Origin marks include DE country mark, Ulm stag antler proof, German proof/date marks, and the HK date code “AK” (2009). An embedded import plate on the polymer frame/dustcover underside ahead of the trigger guard reads “HKI–Columbus GA 27-129824,” confirming import provenance.
