This M&P9 Shield 1.0 configuration includes the factory manual thumb safety and a striker-fired system with a hinged safety trigger. Its single-stack profile delivers a 7+1 capacity in a micro-sized footprint centered around a 3.1-inch barrel.
The slide and barrel are stainless steel with a black Melonite finish, matched to a tan polymer frame. The molded textured grip provides a secure hold without adding bulk.
Slide features include rear-only scalloped serrations for traction during manipulation. Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed, low-profile steel sights: a white-dot front and a notched rear.
The pistol is marked "CAUTION–CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED," a factory notation confirming it will fire without a magazine inserted. It comes with one OEM 7-round flush-fit magazine.
