The LCR's construction pairs a polymer fire-control housing with an aluminum monolithic upper frame, delivering Ruger's distinctive Lightweight Compact Revolver design. The frame wears a matte black finish with Ruger phoenix logos cleanly marked on the sides.
This model is double-action only with an enclosed (internal) hammer for a snag-free profile. Ruger's friction-reducing cam system is designed to produce a smooth, consistent trigger pull from start to break.
The revolver uses an 8-round fluted stainless steel cylinder with a dark finish and a left-side push-button cylinder release. It is chambered in .22 LR and fitted with a 1.875 in barrel, keeping the overall package compact.
Sight setup is straightforward and durable, with an integral topstrap trench rear sight and a replaceable pinned, serrated ramp front sight. Control and recoil management are enhanced by the Hogue Tamer rubber monogrip, which features pebble texturing and finger grooves.
