Built on the L-frame, this six-shot .357 Magnum combines carbon-steel strength with a polished blued finish. The frame’s yoke/crane cut is stamped "M586-1," and the "M" recall stamp confirms the factory modification was performed.
The 6 inch carbon-steel barrel has a full-length underlug, a heavy profile, a serrated rib, and an integral ejector-rod shroud. Sights are fully adjustable, with a ramp front sight featuring an orange insert and a micrometer-adjustable square-notch rear.
Action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer and wide spur, a smooth-face trigger, and a light, well-tuned pull. The revolver retains pre-MIM internals and a hammer-mounted firing pin. Controls include a checkered cylinder latch and a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive manipulation.
Aftermarket Pachmayr "Gripper" rubber finger-groove grips provide a secure, hand-filling hold. This pre-lock S&W is made in the United States and represents the Distinguished Combat Magnum line with its robust L-frame construction and tuned performance.
