This Franchi Instinct Sideplate SPLX is a 12-gauge over/under with factory-engraved nickel-finished sideplates featuring gold bird inlays, paired with 28 in blued steel barrels and a 7 mm ventilated anti-glare rib. It is Made in Italy, CIP steel-shot proofed for 3 in (12/76) shells, and imported by Benelli USA. AA-grade satin walnut with a Prince-of-Wales grip and Schnabel forend, plus a gold-plated single selective trigger and tang safety with barrel selector, round out a feature set aimed at discerning field and clays shooters.

The 28 in blued steel barrels feature a 7 mm ventilated anti-glare rib and a red fiber-optic front bead for quick sighting. Automatic ejectors are fitted and timed, and the gun uses Franchi Technichoke extended choke tubes, with Modified and Improved Modified installed.
