This Geissele Automatics Super Duty SD-556 is a factory-built 5.56 NATO carbine with a uniform tan anodized finish and premium Super Duty components. Its 14.5-inch barrel is pinned and welded with a closed-tine flash hider to achieve a compliant 16-inch overall barrel assembly length. It features the Geissele Airborne ambidextrous charging handle (PN 05-497), a Geissele-marked bolt carrier, an ambidextrous safety, a two-stage flat trigger, and a free-float M-LOK handguard with a T-marked continuous top rail.

The Super Duty SD-556 combines Geissele's hard-use component set with a direct impingement operating system in a 5.56 NATO package. The 14.5-inch barrel has been pin and welded with a closed-tine flash hider, bringing the barrel assembly to approximately 16 inches overall while maintaining a compact handling profile.
Controls are optimized for modern use, including an ambidextrous safety selector and an enlarged, textured bolt catch/release for confident manipulation. The Geissele Airborne ambidextrous charging handle (PN 05-497) offers low-profile, dual-sided operation.
The rifle features a Geissele-marked bolt carrier and a two-stage flat trigger, matching the Super Duty series focus on precise, duty-grade components. Capacity is 30+1 rounds.
The free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK slots with a full-length, T-marked Picatinny top rail for mounting. Furniture includes a B5 Systems Bravo collapsible stock with adjustable length of pull and a textured polymer pistol grip without finger grooves. Standard AR-15 features include a forward assist, ejection port cover, and brass deflector. The receiver and handguard are finished in a uniform tan anodized color. Made in the United States.
