Built on a forged carbon-steel frame and slide, this USGI Government-pattern M1911A1 features a gray parkerized finish with GI small parts in a matching parkerized treatment. It represents the late-war 1945 production period with the classic service configuration.
The pistol incorporates hallmark A1 features: frame relief cuts behind the trigger, an arched and grooved mainspring housing with lanyard loop, a short trigger, and a spur hammer. The slide uses rear-only vertical serrations, consistent with GI practice.
Sighting is via fixed GI pattern sights, including a staked-blade front and a square-notch rear. The 5-inch barrel is chambered in .45 ACP and feeds from a standard 7+1 single-stack magazine.
