This PPK/S is an Interarms-era, U.S.-made example marked "Walther — Made in USA" and "Interarms Alexandria, Virginia," reflecting licensed domestic production without German Ulm proof or date marks. The PPK/S configuration was introduced to comply with the U.S. Gun Control Act of 1968 and became a defining variant for American buyers.
The pistol uses Walther's fixed-barrel blowback system and DA/SA trigger with a grooved trigger face. Controls include a slide-mounted safety/decocker, a left-side push-button magazine release, and a classic loaded-chamber indicator. It has a ring-style exposed hammer, a 3.3-inch barrel, and a 7+1 capacity in .380 ACP.
Stainless steel construction defines both frame and slide. Slide features include an internal extractor, rear vertical serrations for solid purchase, and a serrated anti-glare top rib. The fixed sights are set up with a ramped front and a rear notch for quick reference.
Markings include: "WALTHER — MADE IN USA, UNDER LICENSE OF Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. Modell PPK/S Cal. 9mm kurz/.380 ACP, INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA." Interarms stainless production is commonly associated with an S-prefix serial range for identification of material and finish.
This example is fitted with aftermarket Pachmayr wraparound rubber grips. It ships with four factory 7-round steel magazines and added support parts: Wolff recoil and magazine springs, plus OEM parts and springs, giving the buyer a well-supplied package.
