This C3 follows the classic CCO formula: a Commander-length slide for a longer sight radius and an Officer-size alloy frame for reduced weight and overall height. Chambered in .45 ACP with a 7+1 capacity, it retains traditional 1911 controls with single-action operation and includes a thumb safety, grip safety, and firing-pin safety.
The slide is matte stainless with rear serrations only and an external extractor. The 4.2 in bushing barrel uses a GI-style recoil spring plug. The frame is aluminum alloy with a matte black hard-anodized finish, creating a durable two-tone presentation.
Ergonomics and control surfaces are well appointed: checkered front strap and mainspring housing, plus checkered hardwood double-diamond grips with the SIG SAUER logo. Sights are fixed, low-profile 3-dot units dovetailed front and rear, with an approximate 5.7 in sight radius. The magazine release is the standard configuration.
Markings and provenance include the Exeter–NH frame rollmark and an April 2016 manufacture date per the case label. The pistol is made in the United States and corresponds to manufacturer part number 1911CO-45-T-C3.
