The Automag IV features all-stainless construction with a standard slide and a heavy extended bull barrel that protrudes beyond the muzzle end of the slide. The barrel measures approximately 8.7 inches and is finished to match the stainless frame and slide. The right side of the slide is marked "STAINLESS - MADE IN U.S.A.," while the frame carries the serial number and other standard markings.
Chambered in .45 Winchester Magnum, this model offers a 7+1 capacity. It operates as a single-action, semi-automatic pistol and includes a manual thumb safety with a red fire index dot and a spur hammer for positive control.
Sighting equipment includes an adjustable, square-notch rear sight and a ramped front sight with a colored insert for a clear sight picture. The slide has rear cocking serrations and a prominent warning panel. Black ribbed synthetic grip panels provide a secure hold.
This example is IAI-marked Irwindale, CA production from the 1990s–2000s era. The included IAI manual references 10mm Magnum, while the pistol itself is clearly marked for .45 Win. Mag., aligning with its barrel and slide markings.
