It arrives in an FN-branded soft case with the LPOMS plate kit and owner’s manual.

The Tactical model features a factory-threaded 4.5 in cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a 1/2x28 thread pattern and an O-ringed thread cap. The 1:10 RH twist supports a wide range of 9mm loads while maintaining durability and consistency.
Its slide is optics-cut and optics-ready, using FN's LPOMS (U.S. Patent No. 10,352,654) for direct mounting of popular footprints. Suppressor-height, 3-dot tritium night sights are raised to co-witness with mounted optics, and front/rear slide serrations provide positive manipulation.
Ergonomics and controls are set up for versatility, with fully ambidextrous slide stops and an ambidextrous magazine release. The polymer frame includes textured grip panels and an interchangeable backstrap system to tailor fit; no spare backstraps are included. A four-slot MIL-STD-1913 rail on the dustcover supports accessory mounting.
This striker-fired, short-recoil operated semiautomatic includes two extended 24-round magazines and one 17-round magazine for a 24+1 or 17+1 configuration. The trigger safety provides an additional layer within the familiar 509 operating system.
Finished in black and made in the USA, the pistol measures 7.9 in overall length, 5.75 in height, and 1.35 in width, with a sight radius of 5.79 in and a weight of 27.9 oz. The package pairs duty-ready features with a comprehensive mounting system and magazine set.
