The Super Black Eagle 3 uses Benelli's inertia-driven, semi-automatic action and is chambered for 3.5 in 12 gauge shells. It has right-side ejection, a cross-bolt safety, and a polymer trigger guard. The 26 in vent-rib barrel is set up for screw-in chokes, with a Modified choke currently installed.
Controls are optimized for ease of operation with an enlarged, beveled loading port, a rectangular bolt-release button, and an extended bolt handle. Capacity is 2+1 as supplied. Length of pull is 14.25 in.
Sighting is straightforward with a bead system and a red fiber-optic front bead on the vent rib. This provides a bright front index for typical field applications.
