This Italian-made Beretta Mod. 92 Compact L is a compact 9mm Luger variant with a 4.3 in steel barrel and a 13+1 capacity. It comes with two factory 13-round magazines, the original Beretta hard case, instruction manual, and cleaning rod. The Compact L configuration retains the 92 Series locking-block operating system and open-top slide while shortening the dustcover and overall profile for easier carry. The alloy frame is anodized black and features a radiused, serrated trigger guard, vertical grooves on the frontstrap and backstrap, a beveled magazine well lip, and a lanyard loop at the heel.
Controls are familiar and ambidextrous: a slide-mounted safety/decocker with a red fire index dot, DA/SA trigger, and an external spurred hammer. Sighting is straightforward with fixed 3-dot sights, including an integral ramped front sight and a notched, dovetailed rear; sight radius is 5.8 in. Black textured polymer grips wear PB medallions.
The 4.3 in steel barrel is marked "PB - 9x19." The right slide reads "MOD. 92 COMPACT L - CAL. 9 Parabellum - PATENTED." The left slide is marked "PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. - MADE IN ITALY." Serial numbers on the frame and slide match. Proofs include CIP N nitro proof with the Gardone proof-house crest, a boxed 20 proof date, and an IT20 date/locale stamp, along with the BERETTA USA CORP.
