The TX22 uses a lightweight aluminum slide finished in FDE with front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor. The FDE polymer frame has molded texturing and a left-side magazine release for direct, consistent control.
The standard 4.10 inch barrel features internal threads and comes with Taurus's factory adapter that provides 1/2x28 external threads. This setup delivers a clean, secure interface for devices that use the common 1/2x28 standard.
Operation is striker-fired and straight blowback in single action, utilizing the Taurus Performance Trigger System (PTS). Safety features include an ambidextrous manual safety, a trigger safety, and a striker block.
