The CZ 527 action uses a Mini-Mauser controlled-round-feed design with a large claw extractor for positive feeding and extraction. A two-position safety and a detachable steel box magazine support a 5+1 capacity.
The 24-inch heavy-profile barrel is steel, free-floated, cold-hammer-forged, and finished in blue. There are no iron sights. The receiver features integral 16 mm dovetail cuts for scope rings.
The single-set trigger (SST) is user-adjustable for weight and travel, allowing precise setup. This configuration is well-suited to the .17 Rem cartridge and the rifle’s varmint-oriented build.
The walnut stock has a straight comb, cut checkering, and a rubber buttpad, with sling swivel studs installed. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
Made in the Czech Republic with import markings "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC" and "CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS." The CZ 527 Varmint was discontinued circa 2021.
