It features an 8 inch round, wedge-retained steel barrel, a case-hardened frame, and a blued steel cylinder engraved with the Ormsby naval battle scene. Produced during the 1994–2002 era, it has matching serial numbers on the major parts and comes with its factory box and original manual.

This 3rd Generation Signature Series revolver is a faithful Colt-licensed reproduction of the classic 1860 Army, built as a cap-and-ball, single-action percussion revolver. The round, wedge-retained 8 inch steel barrel carries the correct top address marked "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA."
The steel cylinder is rebated and non-fluted, featuring the Ormsby naval battle scene. The frame is the 3-screw pattern with no shoulder-stock cuts, and the firearm retains the traditional creeping loading lever for secure seating of the ball.
Fit and finish follow the period style with a case-hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, a brass trigger guard, and a blued steel backstrap. The revolver wears a one-piece walnut grip that complements the historic profile.
Sighting is straightforward with a brass blade front sight and a hammer-notch rear, and the cylinder holds six rounds of .44 caliber black powder. This example was produced under the Colt Blackpowder Arms Co. program from 1994 to 2002 with matching serial numbers on the major parts as part of the Signature Series.
