The Gen4 configuration adds the RTF grip texture with finger grooves, the Modular Backstrap System, and a larger reversible magazine catch, while retaining a dual captive recoil spring assembly (revised for Gen4). These updates are purpose-built for control, adaptability, and durability in a subcompact format.
The 3.43 in steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with polygonal rifling and a nitrided finish. The slide wears a matte black finish with rear-only serrations and an external extractor that also functions as a loaded-chamber indicator.
Sights are factory polymer sights. The pistol retains Glock’s internal safeties: trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety.
Markings include the AT proof mark and "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." on the pistol. The G26 is compatible with larger 9mm Glock magazines, offering flexible capacity options beyond the included 10-round magazines.
