The BLR Lightweight 81 action uses a rack-and-pinion linkage that drives a rotating multi-lug bolt, providing strong, consistent lockup with modern cartridges. Its detachable box magazine supports the use of pointed bullets and provides a 4+1 capacity in .243 Win.
The 20 in. barrel is stainless steel with a matte finish and a recessed crown. Iron sights include an orange fiber-optic ramped front and an adjustable folding rear, and the receiver top front features anti-glare serrations for a clear sight picture.
The straight-grip stock and matching forend are laminated hardwood in a gray laminate finish, with cut checkering for grip. A recoil pad and installed sling swivel studs add practical field readiness, and the length of pull is 14.0 in. The forend is secured with a barrel band.
The aluminum alloy receiver carries a satin nickel anodized finish, complementing the matte stainless barrel. The trigger is gold-colored and moves with the lever. The receiver is drilled and tapped with four holes, and the barrel includes additional holes for an optional scout-style base.
