The LCR’s lightweight design—approximately 13.5 oz unloaded—comes from its monolithic aluminum frame with black hard-coat and a polymer fire-control housing. The 5-shot cylinder is stainless steel, deeply fluted, and finished in a dark matte tone for reduced glare and easy carry.
This DAO revolver uses Ruger’s friction-reducing cam for a smooth, consistent trigger pull and an internal hammer for a snag-resistant profile. A transfer-bar safety system is integrated, and the cylinder locks at the rear and at the front via the ejector extension for secure lockup.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: a pinned ramp front sight and a fixed rear trough integral to the topstrap. The front sight is user-replaceable via a cross-pin should you wish to change the blade. The Ruger push-button cylinder latch provides positive, quick operation.
Chambered for .38 Special +P, this LCR is practical and compact with an overall length of 6.50 in, a height of 4.50 in, and a width of 1.28 in. It is made in the United States and comes equipped with Crimson Trace red Lasergrips installed for an integrated aiming aid.
