The METE SFx is the long-slide member of the METE series, pairing a 5.2 in carbon-steel barrel with a full-size polymer frame and a durable nitride finish. It is import marked by Century Arms in Georgia, VT and made in Turkey, with clear model markings identifying it as METE SFx.
The slide is cut for optics and ships with a cover plate. It includes lightening windows plus front and rear cocking serrations, and retains steel 3-dot sights; sight configuration varies with the optics plate. A striker status indicator is present on the slide.
Controls are set up for versatility with an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release. The frame uses interchangeable backstraps, and this pistol has a Taylor Freelance backstrap installed. A removable CANiK-branded aluminum magazine-well funnel is installed, aiding faster reloads, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail allows easy light/laser mounting.
The striker-fired action uses a trigger safety lever with a red safety blade, along with internal firing-pin block, loaded-chamber indicator, and striker status indicator. Included magazines cover a range of capacities, with extended basepads (including a Taylor Freelance extended basepad on one) and a maximum capacity of 27+1 when using the included 27-round magazine. A Taylor Freelance slide back plate is also installed to complete the upgrade set.
