The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7S is a factory short-barreled rifle built on the AR-15 platform with an 11.5 inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel and a free-float MFR 10.0 M-LOK handguard. It uses a direct impingement carbine-length gas system and includes an A2-pattern flash hider, a Daniel Defense BCG, and an A4 flattop upper. Manufactured and roll-marked in Black Creek, Georgia, this is an NFA-regulated SBR.
The upper is marked "DDM4 V7s" and "5.56," while the lower reads "Daniel Defense, Black Creek, GA U.S.A., Model: DDM4, Cal: Multi." The MFR 10.0 handguard features a 10.58 inch top rail with T-markings, M-LOK slots at 3/6/9 o'clock, and an integrated QD sling socket. No iron sights are installed.
The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and paired with a 1:7 twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56 NATO projectiles. The government-profile barrel, chrome lining, and cold hammer forging are Daniel Defense hallmarks focused on durability and service life.
Furniture includes a collapsible stock with soft-touch overmold cheek panels and a Daniel Defense pistol grip with soft-touch overmold. The rifle accepts STANAG-pattern detachable magazines; one 30-round Magpul PMAG is included. Capacity is 30+1.
Receiver and handguard construction use aluminum (handguard: 6061-T6), keeping weight balanced while maintaining rigidity for the free-float system. An A4 flattop upper with forward assist and ejection port cover rounds out the configuration. The "S" suffix designates the short-barreled rifle configuration under the NFA.
