The VP9X combines a compact-length 4.09 in slide and barrel with HK’s full-size VP9 frame, delivering the VP9A1 X crossover layout. The slide includes forward and rear cocking serrations, an optics cut with a cover plate, and a durable black finish.
Its 9mm barrel is cold hammer forged with polygonal rifling and a 1:9.8 in twist. The pistol uses a short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel system and a striker-fired action for consistent cycling.
The A1 Optics Ready configuration provides a factory-milled interface for mounting micro red dot sights. An integral Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover supports common weapon-mounted lights and accessories.
Controls and safety features include a trigger safety tab, firing pin block, drop safety, and a loaded chamber indicator. The polymer frame wears a black finish with textured grip surfaces, plus interchangeable backstraps and side panels to tailor fit.
