This Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Metal stands out with its T6 aluminum alloy frame and stainless-steel slide, both finished in gray Cerakote. It is the full-size 4.25 in 9mm variant introduced in 2022, built in the USA, and configured from the factory with an optics-ready slide and no manual thumb safety. Two 17-round steel magazines and interchangeable palmswell backstraps are included.

The M2.0 Metal design combines a stainless-steel slide with an aluminum-alloy frame for a solid feel while keeping weight around 30 oz unloaded. The gray Cerakote finish covers both slide and frame for a uniform, durable exterior.
The slide features an optics-ready cut and wave-pattern front and rear cocking serrations for secure manipulation. Steel white-dot sights are installed, with a drift-adjustable rear and a sight radius of about 6.5 inches.
Ergonomics are enhanced by the interchangeable M&P palmswell backstraps, a flat-face, two-piece hinged trigger safety, and ambidextrous slide-stop levers. This model omits the manual thumb safety by design and uses a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech system.
Capacity is 17+1 in 9mm, and the included pair of steel magazines supports continuous range time. An integral three-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover accepts compatible lights or other accessories as desired.
