The SUB-2000 Gen 1 is a folding pistol-caliber carbine built around a tubular steel bolt/stock housing and a glass-reinforced polymer receiver. This example is configured for Glock .40 S&W magazines and is supplied with 30-round and 22-round magazines, supporting the listed 30+1 capacity.
It operates via a straight-blowback, semi-automatic action. The reciprocating charging handle is mounted under the bolt tube, and controls include a push-bolt safety with a positive disconnector.
The 16-inch steel barrel has an unthreaded muzzle with a recessed crown. Sighting is via iron sights: a flip-up rear aperture and a protected front post set in a ringed housing with two small green inserts.
Gen 1 features include the non-railed black polymer fore-end with waffle texturing and oval vents, plus a steel stock with a skeletonized buttplate. Construction and finish are black throughout the glass-reinforced polymer frame and receiver. An installed TANDEMKROSS bolt-tube cover adds grip and comfort on the bolt tube. Made in the USA.
