Nighthawk Custom GRP IOS 9mm 1911, Full-Size, 5-inch, Steel, Matte Dark Finish, 3x 10-Round Magazines
This Nighthawk Custom GRP in 9mm Luger is a full-size, Government-length 1911 built in Berryville, Arkansas, with the Interchangeable Optic System (IOS). It features a stainless 5-inch barrel and bushing, a matte dark steel frame and slide, and arrives in excellent condition with a factory test target dated 9/25/2024. The pistol includes three 10-round magazines and an IOS plate for the Trijicon SRO.
The GRP platform combines a non-railed Government-size steel frame with a Browning-type short-recoil operating system and Nighthawk’s IOS slide cut. The pistol features the IOS system for mounting compatible sight plates or optics, and includes a dedicated IOS plate for the Trijicon SRO (no backup iron sights on that plate).
Controls and ergonomics are set up for precise, single-action operation: a three-hole trigger with adjustable overtravel screw, manual thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The lowered and flared ejection port supports reliable cycling, while the checkered front strap and flat, checkered mainspring housing provide consistent purchase.
Sight elements are straightforward and durable, with provisions for a dovetailed front sight and a rear sight or optic via the removable IOS plate; see photos for the current configuration. Textured dark G10 grip panels with Nighthawk medallions complete the package. Capacity is 10+1 with the included 9mm magazines.
This recent-release example retains a clean, uniform matte dark finish and comes with Nighthawk’s soft case, owner’s manual, quality-control checklist, and the factory test target from a 12-yard benchrest on 9/25/2024.

Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: Shows very little prior use. The firearm remains in excellent condition throughout, and the bore is clean and shiny.
