The Model 30AS delivers the familiar Marlin lever-action handling in a compact 20-inch carbine profile chambered in .30-30. Its receiver design is the solid-top, side-eject pattern, providing easy top-mounted scope placement while preserving smooth cycling and loading characteristics.
The barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, a hallmark feature that pairs well with .30-30 loads. The bore condition and defined rifling lands and grooves support reliable performance.
This carbine is set up with both irons and glass. It retains factory-style iron sights with a ramp bead front and an open leaf rear on a stepped elevator. A riflescope is already mounted on installed two-piece bases with rings, and a knurled hammer spur extension is fitted to accommodate scoped operation.
The hardwood stock and fore-end provide a traditional look and feel. The stock is a pistol-grip style with pressed checkering, a hard plastic buttplate, and sling swivel studs. The length of pull measures 13.0 inches. This U.S.-made Marlin maintains the dependable lever-action format with an exposed hammer and a full-length tubular magazine rated at 5+1.
