This Lew Horton exclusive pairs the iconic Model 29 chambering in .44 Magnum with a compact 3-inch carbon-steel barrel. The barrel has a tapered profile, a short underlug, and a finely serrated sight rib, giving it a balanced, fast-handling feel while retaining full N-frame strength.
The revolver wears a high-polish blued finish over its carbon-steel frame and fluted cylinder. The topstrap and sight rib are finely serrated to reduce glare. A knurled ejector rod, the S&W crest on the left sideplate, and the right-side frame rollmark reflect classic factory details.
Sights are iron: a pinned, ramped front sight with a red insert and an adjustable rear sight for precise elevation and windage. The smooth-faced trigger and wide, checkered hammer spur support confident double-action/single-action use.
The square-butt N-frame configuration provides a solid grip foundation, complemented by a one-piece hardwood finger-groove wraparound combat grip that covers the backstrap and butt (with a cutout at the base for the serial plate).
