What’s Included
- Ruger 1-inch steel scope rings (installed on integral receiver bases)
This rifle is the original M77 tang-safety Standard Rifle (M77R) configuration from the 1970s. It uses Ruger’s early push-feed system with a plunger ejector and a Mauser-style extractor, and it employs Ruger’s angled front action screw bedding system.
The 22-inch sporter-profile barrel and blued finish are matched to an action with integral receiver scope bases. With the included Ruger 1-inch steel rings already installed, the receiver is set up to accept a 1-inch scope. There are no iron sights.
The walnut stock features impressed skip-line checkering, a pistol-grip cap with Ruger medallion, and Ruger’s red recoil pad with black spacer. Sling swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Feeding is via an internal box magazine (4+1 capacity) with a hinged floorplate and release latch. Controls include a tang safety, and the bolt wears a classic round knob.
