The M&P9 M2.0 Compact Optics Ready configuration delivers a 3.6-inch barrel and 15+1 capacity in a compact footprint, with no thumb safety and a striker-fired action. The flat-face trigger incorporates a hinged safety with a tactile, audible reset. A caution marking on the slide notes it is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
The stainless steel barrel and slide receive Smith & Wesson’s Armornite nitride treatment, and the slide adds forward serrations and an optics-ready cut with a removable cover plate. Tall white-dot sights are intended to co-witness with mounted optics, and the sight radius is 5.9 inches.
Ergonomics are anchored by the aggressive M2.0 grip texture and four interchangeable palmswell inserts (S, M, ML, L) to fine-tune hand fit. Ambidextrous slide stop levers support bilateral use. An extended embedded steel chassis enhances rigidity, and a Picatinny-style 2-slot accessory rail is molded into the frame for lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
