This DD4 RIII S uses Daniel Defense’s RIS III 10.5 in two-piece free-float handguard made from 6061-T6 aluminum. It provides M-LOK slots and uses a 6-bolt bolt-up interface for a rigid, repeatable fit. The top features a continuous T-marked 1913 Picatinny rail that spans the receiver and handguard for straightforward accessory alignment.
The 11.5 in threaded barrel is paired with a carbine-length gas system and capped by a flash hider with three elongated slots. Operation is semi-automatic with a direct impingement system, and controls include a manual safety. Capacity is 30+1 rounds.
Furniture consists of a tan adjustable brace with a hook-and-loop strap and a black polymer pistol grip with the Daniel Defense logo. The pistol wears a black finish with a matching black receiver set.
Factory markings include an upper receiver laser-marked "DD4RIII s," a lower marked "MODEL DDM4" with "CAL MULTI," and handguard rollmarks noting "RIS III 10.5" and U.S. Pat. 7,716,865. Manufacturer markings indicate Daniel Defense, Black Creek, GA, USA.
