What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield pistol (manual thumb safety)

- 1x 7-round S&W factory 9mm magazine
- S&W factory magazine baseplates: flush-base and finger-extension types (as equipped on the included magazines)
This Shield is the original 1.0 configuration, identified by its slide rollmark "M&P 9 SHIELD" (without "M2.0") and rear-only cocking serrations. It is striker-fired and uses S&W’s two-piece, hinged safety trigger. A button-style magazine release and a visual loaded chamber inspection port are standard, along with an external extractor for reliable case control.
The barrel and slide are stainless steel with a black Melonite nitrocarburized finish for corrosion resistance and durability. The black polymer frame keeps weight down while providing a secure, consistent grip with molded S&W medallion panels.
Sights are steel and low-profile for a clean draw. The front sight has a white dot, and the rear sight is drift-adjustable with a set screw, allowing precise windage adjustment.
Included magazines provide a 7-round and an 8-round option, giving a maximum capacity of 8+1. The slide is marked "SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A." and "CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED," indicating there is no magazine disconnect.
