Built in West Germany in 1989, this P226 shows period-correct markings and proofing, including the Eagle/N proofs, JK date code, and "MADE IN W. GERMANY" slide legend. The slide and frame bear matching serials, and the pistol was imported by SIGARMS in Herndon, Virginia, with the import mark properly applied.
It features the classic folded carbon steel slide with a pinned breech block and internal extractor, paired with a non-railed aluminum alloy frame finished in hard anodize. The DA/SA system uses a decocking lever placed forward of the slide catch, and the pistol is fitted with a curved trigger and spur hammer.
Sighting is via fixed, low-profile sights that are drift-adjustable for windage, with a front blade and a rear notch. The front strap features horizontal (circumferential) grooves for added control, and the grips are checkered black polymer panels consistent with period configuration.
The standard 4.4 inch barrel and Browning-type tilting-barrel, locked-breech system deliver the familiar P226 shooting characteristics. Capacity is 15+1 using the included steel magazines, which have numbered witness holes to 15. The original German article number 342260-005 is noted on the box, aligning with West German production details for this model.
